Par Le Gast

Sometimes sweet and intimate pop, sometimes all in breakups and rock bursts, the music of Par Le Gast tries on its own scale to open up new sonic territories, seeking light by escaping through the window.
Far from a scholarly approach, Par Le Gast claims bricolage as its modus operandi, sifting through the production bedroom and its accidents with influences navigating between Anglo-Saxon indie rock of the 1990s and 2000s (think Deerhoof, PJ Harvey or Stereolab),  and the avant-garde pop of the 70s-80s (Laurie Anderson or Brian Eno), to give birth to a melodic and oblique music, crossed by a desire to transcend codes to play in complete freedom, linking pop and sound experiments.

« Everything is wonderfully executed, down to the chaos (of the)organized (...). A pinch of surf, psychobilly, krautrock, psychedelia, noise, tousling, like an absolutely delightful EP. » Alix De Stermaria - A découvrir absolument
« It’s dashing, unpredictable, neat, rich in colors, acid and sometimes funny. Looking forward to the first album! » - W-Fenec
